Two Schooners is a departure from the subject matter for which I normally use the drip technique, which is crowds of people. The line work is done by drizzling paint onto a ground, tying together drawing and painting in a loose, organic way. I felt it was appropriate for a structure that operated in wind and water, both of which are very fluid.
